PARTNESHIP AGREEMENT SIGNED BETWEEN RECONOMY AND BIC – IN THE NAME OF WESTERN BALKANS STARTUP ALIANCE (WBSA)
Western Balkan Startup Alliance – WBSA partnered with RECONOMY in supporting the regional startup ecosystem, making it more attractive for investments and growth-friendly for startups.
The Western Balkan Startup Alliance (WBSA) is an organization founded by start-up support organizations with a joint mission to strengthen the start-up ecosystems in the Western Balkans. WBSA aims to connect the region and use the joint knowledge and experience of the start-ups as the cohesive force for creating new solutions for the common challenges. The alliance leverages the regional playground as an opportunity to grow faster and therefore to develop one voice concepts which will show the WBSA capabilities to interested stakeholders, founders, investors or the tech diaspora. This provides WBSA members the opportunity to engage with clients and partners and faster reach different markets.
Currently the WBSA has 17 members (start-up support organisations) from all six Western Balkan countries, which in turn have a portfolio of more than 700 start-ups and entrepreneurs from the region. Business & Innovation Center – BIC as one of the co-founding members has been appointed by WBSA Board to act in the name of the alliance in signing this Partnership Agreement.
RECONOMY as a regional inclusive and green economic development program of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), implemented by Helvetas in the Eastern Partnership and the Western Balkan countries in partnership with Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e. V. and local partners.
