Presentation of the approved projects from "O2 Challenge" in Technology Park - Tetovo

On Wednesday, January 23, 2019 in the SEEUTechPark in Tetovo, were presented the results of the implementation of the projects selected within the Public Call for financing of projects for reduction of air pollution - "O2 Challenge".

The public call was conducted by the Fund for Innovation and Technological Development (FITR) in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the O2 Coalition, the City of Skopje and the Eco Svest, whose aim was to initiate innovative ideas and actions that will encourage the resolution of the pollution problem.

As the event hosts, Business and Innovation Center (BIC) also presented their software solution and business model aimed at investments for replacement of old heating systems in households with new – and more eco-friendly end efficient ones. The model should be piloted in the municipality of Tetovo, and then applied in other towns and municipalities across the country. The goal of the project is to create individual, energy and financially efficient solutions through the web portal, that will in long term, contribute to the reduction of air pollution in Tetovo.

The event was addressed by Mr. Jovan Despotovski - Director of the Fund for Innovation and Technological Development (FITR), the Deputy Minister of Environment and Physical Planning – Mr. Jani Makraduli and the Mayor of the Municipality of Tetovo – Ms. Teuta Arifi.
