The future of work

What can companies from Eastern Europe do to escape the bind between the more productive West and more cost-efficient East?

The Future of Work. Create a team! || How to: Step by step guidelines

Currently, companies in EE countries are relying heavily on cost leadership or on local control as large diversified, resource based conglomerates. However, both strategies can be easily beaten by Western companies with higher productivity, companies from Asian emerging countries that have lower factor and energy cost, and by international specialized companies. What should they focus on to develop a strong advantage in international competition?

A.T. Kearney in partnership with Challenge:Future and CEEMANinvites you to become part of a Global Rescue Team that will envision the plan for a prosperous Eastern Europe.

What's in it for you? One paid three-months internship at the A.T. Kearney Ljubljana, Slovenia office or at A.T. Kearney Warsaw, Poland office. Plus many other awards. Interested?

The first round of the competition is all about discovering, interacting and creating a vision of a future company in Eastern Europe. There are six key global megatrends whose impact on Eastern Europe and its companies is unavoidable. Get more information about global megatrends.

With Eastern European companies being unable to compete, the outlook is becoming dark for Eastern European companies and through that for Eastern Europe itself. Eastern Europe is submerging. Click here to get more information about the macroeconomic situation in Eastern Europe.

In the first round of the competition you are challenged to identify which industries and advantages this region should focus on to be competitive on the global level. Based on your findings, envision how will future companies of Eastern Europe look like, what should be their unique values that are making them competitive on the international level, and how to achieve them.
