Business Innovation Forum 2015
On January 22-24th, 2015 was held a three-day forum for economic development, job creation opportunities and the impact of women entrepreneurs.
At the event attended representatives of four major European networks, EBAN – European Network for Business Angels, EBN – European Business Innovation Network, WestBIC –Irish network for Business Innovation Centers and Finnovaregio.
Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mr. Vladimir Pesevski at his address to the business forum said that innovation is one of the key drivers of economic development and added that it is increasing the competitiveness and economic development based on knowledge and innovation is one of the priorities of the government.
Ilija Vuckov, the President of EMKICE said that European networks with synchronized cooperation with the private, public, academic and NGO sector that already had success and most of the companies that cooperate have growth and development.
This model works and we want to implement it with our conditions. The aim is to create a system through which our companies will be able to have direct partners in the area of business, but also in terms of the development of innovation and increase their competitiveness. It will mean that you will immediately have access to European markets, and partners of European networks, and their promotion will be available and from the Office of EBN in Brussels - highlight Vuchkov.
Baybar Altuntas, the president of the Association of Business Angels in Turkey announced that in April a delegation of investors will visit Macedonia and will try to find companies, interested startups for co-investment. It said it will be a good example for the whole of Southeast Europe.
The aim of this event was greater use EU funds and exchange of experiences.
Organizers of this forum were the COSSME Network that is formed from Municipality of Tetovo, Municipality of Gazi Baba, South East European University, SEEUTechPark, EMKICE, ILUMINE, APRZ and Open Football School of Macedonia.
