WEDNЕSDAY TALK! with Michael Boland on Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies
On 8 November 2017, WEDNЕSDAY TALK! session was held in SEEU Skopje Campus, in front of an large audience we had the honour to have a speech from Michael Boland- a designer and civic technologist from Chicago.
The main topic was Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies, it commenced with an introduction of digital currencies. Michael Boland was focused in the importance of Bitcoin, its practical side and implication for a better future development. Summoned meeting aimed to raise awareness for the promise that Bitcoin offers about lower transaction fees than traditional online payment mechanisms and is operated by a decentralized authority, unlike government-issued currencies.
The chosen subject was witnessed of a high interest that was proven at the end of the session from the different questions that participants took part in. This interest was a result from the Internet influence, that is widely spreading about bitcoins.
