European Bank for Reconstruction and Development visited SEEUTechPark

On Friday, February 22 2019, representatives of the EBRD – North Macedonia office were visiting SEEUTechPark and some of its tenants.

The meeting with EBRD’s representatives was focused on the new regional ‘Star Venture Program’ that provides business advice to regional accelerators and start-ups and by facilitating a mix of practical workshops, meetings with international mentors and local consultants as well as potential investors over a period of four years.

Representatives from SEEUTechPark presented the successful Triple –Helix system that supports start-up, knowledge based companies to create and foster an entrepreneurial culture among faculty, researchers, students and commercialization of scientific and technological knowledge. In that manner, the Technology Park will work closely with the EBRD in developing the national startup ecosystem by continuous support of startups & spinoffs.

This program is in line with the EBRD’s Economic Inclusion Strategy and especially supports the key areas such as: Youth entrepreneurship, Gender equality and inclusion, Access to skill and training and Access to finance.
