A delegation of the Ministry of Education and Science headed by the Minister Abdilaqim Adami visited SEEUTechPark
On November 16, 2015, a delegation of the Ministry of Education and Science, headed by the Minister Mr. Abdilaqim Ademi together with some deputies of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia visited SEEUTechPark.
During their visit to the SEEU Technology Park facilities they were able to become closely acquainted with the management and operation of this Park. The Rector, Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika and the Technology Park Director Prof. Dr. Azir Aliu, informed them in detail about the processes and achievements of this unit, and the excellent opportunities for cooperation based on the Triple Helix model.
This successful formula in developed countries allows creation of strong links between Academia, the private sector (industry), and the government institutions in order to create opportunities for applicable projects that aim to develop the economy in the country and the establishment of R & D companies as formula of sustainable development in the private sector. Today in a world level is invested a lot in projects that connect Academia with the business sector in order to create projects that will have a rapid impact on the economies of countries. Triple-helix has found its place in EU financial fund where today Horizon 2020 has a budget of 80 billion euro, and COSME 3 billion to create consortiums between the Academy, Industry and the State Institutions. Now, the Technology Park at SEEU convinces us that even in our countries the cooperation between universities, private sector and the government can function positively and offer very good results. Today we saw that Technology Park holds private companies that are located on this campus in order to be closer to the students and professors, with the aim of improving human resources as a basic element for a successful business“ said Minister Ademi.
The purpose of the visit was to observe the work of the Technology Park and to assess the results acheived during the 3 year period since its foundation as a successful model, and the first of its kind in the Republic of Macedonia.
